Episode 307- Austin Hanks

For those of you who listen to this program regularly, you know when I hear about an artist that intrigues me I start to dig deep, in my quest to find more of a good thing and satisfy my curiosity of the WHY Someone does this wonderful things they do. Our next guest is just such a person. The first time I had heard him was in 2012 as a co-writter on the ZZ Top track “FlyinHigh” then later on his incredible expression of American music on a record called “Alabastard”. He’s an excellent musician working in film, TV, touring, writing, But, there’s SO much more beyond that and I’m hoping we get to talk about it all and satisfy my curiosity, please welcome to GRS Mr. Austin Hanks.

Episode 306- Shinyribs

Music and particularly a live music experience for all intents and purposes is to not just entertain but to make you feel good. Our next guest is the very embodiment of that. I have seen him and his marvelous band play more times than I can count and one of the things I notice every time is the audience during and after the show is They are happy. Joyous really. Smiles from ear to ear. Just downright happy. He and the band’s connection with the music and the audience is seamless. He is here today to talk about, well, anything he wants to. Please welcome to GRS Kevin “Shiny Ribs” Russel

Episode 305- Bryan Rahija- “Timber”

Algorithms at times can be a blessing. My iTunes music makes suggestions all the time and often enough I think, what were they thinking?! But last year I hit pay dirt when I got a suggestion from the algorithm regarding our next guest. His debut solo release was so intoxicating it ended up making the number 8 spot in our top 20 of 21 as well as many other albums of the year collections. The record to me is the sound of hope when there seems to be not enough of it around, his playing is excellent and hes here to talk with us today please welcome to GRS Bryan Rahija

Episode 302- “Always” Eric Krasno (Lettuce, Soul Live & So Much More)

When I received an advance link to hear our next guests record, I knew it would be good, just based on his history and the other bands and records ive heard and live in my music collection, but, what I didn’t expect was a perfect record. No weak links in the chain. It’s been on constant repeat since I first heard it. I cant put it down. Honestly, we would need 8 hours to comb though his work, but we dont so lets get started while we’ve got him, people please welcome to GRS Mr.Eric Krasno
